The healthcare industry’s main concern is sanitation and being germ-free. This is a challenging task when your facility is constantly housing ill people.
Artic Solar is capable of providing the high temperatures needed for sanitizing/cleaning the facility as well as providing the hot water for their laundry facility. A typical hospital requires approximately 52 gallons of hot water per bed per day. In addition to hot water, the XCPC technology can provide solar cooling and dehumidification for the facility. It is simple to retrofit dehumidification cabinets by installing a hydronic coil on the air inlet reducing the amount of energy consumed for dehumidification.
While roof space or location for a solar array is always a concern, it is important to identify the most cost-effective application to reduce the energy consumption and carbon footprint of the facility.
